My play Foreigner has made it to the semi-finalist round of Premiere Stages Play Festival. More info here.
Foreigner is a two-hander that unfolds over the course of a year, chronicling the unlikely relationship between Mahmood, a Lebanese immigrant preparing for his U.S. citizenship interview, and Mr. Daniels, his white, suburban ESL tutor. What begins as a language lesson deepens into a funny and tragic exploration of cultural gaps, personal loss, and unspoken power dynamics.
